Using A Sauna For Detoxification

Using A Sauna For Detoxification
by Mike H

Why is there a need to detoxify human body with a sauna? Well maybe we could start answering that through saying that our body, itself, has a unique detoxification process that could not be copied even by modern technologies. Nonetheless, our present medical solutions for helping in the maintenance of our body could be compensated by various advancements such as more comprehensive solutions through sauna detoxification.

So why exactly do we need detoxification using sauna?

Toxins and other contaminants abound in our daily life. Toxins could be gathered from practically everything, from the types of food we eat to the components we use normally like shampoos, soaps and beauty products. This just emphasizes the evident need for detoxification.

Because our bodies were not intended to accommodate these toxins, it has to expel them to some degree. However, sometimes our body systems seem not to function perfectly. Thus, you must reinforce its capacity through speeding up the cleaning process.

There are various ways of detoxifying our bodies and many seem to be very debatable. Sauna detoxification is among this hoard which continuously receive scrutiny on both the pros and cons of using it.

Sauna detoxification works by expelling the unnecessary toxins in the body through inducing heat. And unlike most processes, the sauna method projects the simplest and easiest way to undergo detoxification. Plus it offers the advantage of effective use in conjunction with other methods of detoxifying the body.

Even ancient people have recognized the value of heating the body for the removal of certain harmful elements. However, more prominent during the early periods is the knowledge that sauna for detoxification promotes better health and healing. But the importance given to the advantages of using sauna for detoxification abounds even in other distant cultures through distant time periods. Romans for example are famous not only for the empire but also by their luxurious Roman saunas. Japanese people, on the other hand, were among the first people who have recognized the need to maintain a clean body by using heated water. Thus, it is obvious that the effectiveness of using sauna for health purposes abounds throughout history.

In the modern world, however, there are a lot of saunas for detoxification choices to choose from. There are options for a wide discrepancy of budgets too so it is impossible for someone not to satisfy his needs on detoxifying his body.

But using sauna for detoxification is treated as an alternative medical solution. While there is already a widespread acceptance on the use of alternative and complementary medical treatments, some people are still quite uninterested in using this branch of medicine.

However, this does not negate the fact that many have gained partial or complete healing that could not otherwise be obtained in using conventional types of treatments alone. However, it must be noted that using saunas for detoxification should not be done without prior knowledge of your expectations and the possibilities at hand. There are various diseases and disorders that might not react well to saunas, especially the innovative ones. Also, before you seek the intervention of saunas for your treatment, ensure to it that you know the very characteristics and components of the type of sauna you are opting for. Remember that safety must come first and your health must never be compromised only because you lack sufficient knowledge regarding the option you are considering.

Beauty Tips - Simple Facial Cleanser

Beauty Tips - Simple Facial Cleanser By: Franchis

If you are too busy to stop at the spa for essential skin care treatment, then try these facials at home to relax your mind and body. The process of cleansing, exfoliating, steaming, and hydrating can be done with some basic steps and ingredients.. Several forms of facial cleansers have been developed to deal with cleansing different skin types, and to avoid drying the skin as traditional bar soaps tended to do. Good face cleansers are items that clean and rinse your face and provide a different freshness to your face. Good face cleansers include mild and natural gels, lotions and creams that provide a soothing softness to your skin. It helps in gentle removal of dirt and debris, prevents oil secretion in the face, provides a calm and soothing sensation to the skin.

Eliminates surface bacteria, imparts new and fresh skin texture, and removes excess toxins from the skin. The facial cleansers are made of natural ingredients and provide no side effects. Evening cleaning is especially important as your face has had an entire day of abuse. The facial cleansers provide quick freshness and softness to your face. This means that you can notice the pleasant changes in your face within a few days after you use the cleansers. Face cleansers is ingredients glycerin ,caffeine, aloe vera and sucros ,olive fruit and safflower seed oils , linoleic acid and barley extract – a natural barrier repair complex. A natural facial skin cleanser formulated for Normal to Dry, Chamomile and Geranium with Glycerine and oils of Coconut, Almond and Shea Nut Butter to cleanse, soothe and hydrate the skin.

These cleansers are applied twice to thrice a day, and reduce freckles, blemishes, enhance the softness and glow of the face, reduce wrinkles and premature sagging of the skin. Botanical scrubs include ingredients such as apricot husks, while the astringents often include ingredients such as tea tree oil or green tea. These natural scrubs will gently remove dead skin and expose the fresh new layer of skin just waiting to reach the surface.

Organic Skin Care
Think of organic skin care as plastic surgery in a bottle, or canister depending on the product. Organic facial cleansers eliminates toxins through a exfoliation process using the pores.

Exfoliation is important because it keeps pores as an open window. See the pores are the exit route for the skin's toxins. Now if that exit is closed those stubborn toxins will just sit there until you decide to open the door. The end result? Clogged pores.

That's just one of the benefits of using an organic facial cleanser. In addition, following an organic skin care regime over time can get rid of wrinkles, breakouts and those double bags under your eyes, affectionately known as luggage. Organic skin care products, which consist of cosmetics, perfume and cleansers, are grown in locations with rich soil, and near lots of plants, flowers and oil, the kind of place you'd like to raise a family.

Useful Beauty Tips:
#Washing your face twice a day is a must in order to keep your skin clear.# Never use bar soaps to wash your face as they tend to dry out the skin.
# Don’t forget to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week with a mild exfoliator to remove the dead skin cells.
# It’s best to wash your face with lukewarm water rather than with hot or cold water.

7 Free Beauty Tips: Face And Body

7 Free Beauty Tips: Face And Body
by: Mike Jones

7 free beauty tips and guidelines that can make your face and body care so much easier:

1. To clean facial skin without doing damage, do not scrub. Rather, use a gentle, oil and fragrance free cleanser, preferably one that is pH balanced. For oily skin use a cleanser that contains benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid. Unless your skin is oily, avoid toner as this can dry out the skin.

2. Invest in a magnifying mirror to closely scrutinize your facial skin. It will then be easy to identify enlarged pores on the central parts of the cheeks as well as blackheads in the area of the nose.

3. Emergency treatment for puffy eyes: If you need to eliminate puffy eyes in a hurry, chill two teaspoons in the fridge, then place the hollow sides over closed eyes for a few minutes. Alternatively, take two chamomile tea bags that have cooled after being steeped in boiling water, and place them over the eyes for a few minutes.

4. Neck Area: While much time and attention is lavished on the face, the neck area needs as much care and consideration. Include the neck area in your skincare routine.

5. To get the day off to a healthy start, make a drink from boiling water and the juice of one lemon. Add some finely chopped ginger for further interest. Apart from being a good source of Vitamin C, this will cleanse the liver and get your metabolism going.

6. Home Made Salt Rub: Feel renewed by making your own salt rub with a mixture of coarse salt and gentle liquid soap. Using a loofah mitt, apply the mixture all over the body in the shower and rinse the suds thoroughly. Pat the body dry and then apply a body cream or oil to leave your body soft and smooth. (Do not use products containing alpha hydroxy acids to avoid irritating the skin)

7. Make foot care a part of your shower routine. Keep a pumice stone in the shower and smooth away any calluses which may start forming, dry skin on the heels or balls of the feet, or rough skin on the edge of the toes. Gentle, regular care will keep unsightly foot problems at bay.

Skin Toning - Information And Tips

Skin Toning - Information And Tips by Franchis
You should tone your skin for youthful and rejuvenated feel because due to age and other things like weather, pollution and other harmful things in atmosphere, the face and other body parts starts sagging and start showing wrinkles. Toners are used to clean the oil from the skin. They may cause skin feel tighter because of skin irritation. The skin is freshened by skin toning lotions. They help to increase the blood supply to the skin. Toning the skin helps remove any residual cleanser or make-up that may have been left behind. A toner also helps restore the natural pH level of the skin, leaves your skin clean, clear and ready to be hydrated. Some Great Tips for Skin Toning

Some Great Tips for Skin Toning

Despite claims to the contrary, fresheners, toners and astringents do not close pores. As a matter of fact, no cosmetic product can alter the actual size of the pores. What really happens afterusing these products is a mild irritation of the skin. This results in swelling of the skin and so the pores appear less prominent. For extra oily skins, use astringent lotion instead of a toner. Toning is important for both men and women as it is the protective step after gentle, but thorough cleansing of skin as it keeps pores clean, skin healthy and breathing and thus more receptive to ultimate in nourishing care that comes with moisturizing.

Rub with potato slices over the face and neck. Wash off 15 minutes later. Use this method for oily skin. Add a moisturizer if you have dry skin.

Moisten a cotton ball with toning lotion and put it on the chin, cheeks, and neck.

Use mineral water with rose water on dry skin. Avoid eyes and upper cheeks when applying.Toners must be alcohol-free as alcohol dries off skin. You can also make a natural skin toner at home. Tomato juice is a good skin toner. Cucumber toner is a refreshing toner for normal skins. You have to tone your skin for a youthful, rejuvenated feel.

Methods of toning

TONING THE skin is usually done using a skin tonic. There are two types of skin toners available in the market:
* Alcohol based astringents are commercially produced by a number of cosmetic companies
* Herbal skin tonics containing rose, honey or mint, also available in the market

.However, if your skin is extremely dry and shows tendencies for other more severe skin problems, toning could pose a threat. In this case, you may want to skip toning altogether, or at least, until such time as your skin has improved and you feel it’s safe to return it to your dry skin care program.

Alcohol-based astringents are usually recommended for oily skins. If there is a burning sensation, discontinue and switch over to a herbal skin toner.

Shopping Online For Clothing That Looks Great by Andrea Delia

If you're a curvy woman, chances are that you're disappointed by the offerings at your local retailers. The plus size section is small, hard to find, and full of boxy, unflattering clothes. Things are getting better, but it can still be pretty hard to find an outfit that makes you look great.

There's a wide variety of styles and types of clothing, so you can find what you're looking for, regardless of whether you're a teen or grandmother. However, not all cities are lucky enough to have even one specialty plus size store. This means that those of us who can't get to one turn to the Internet.

You can buy clothes from these specialty retailers online also. Some plus size stores are even run entirely online. While there are the limitations of budget and shipping time when shopping on the Internet, the great advantage is that we can see everything that is available. The downside is that there is no opportunity to try things on, so you must be careful when choosing something. You must be fairly confident when ordering, and make sure that you read the return policy carefully.

Most online retailers of plus size clothing do offer tools to try to help you make certain you have the clothes you want. Size charts are available for each kind of sizing, some have specialized fitting programs, or computer models configured to look like you. Also provided is information about how a brand of clothing fits - whether certain styles run large or small, for instance. It's a fact that the style and fit of clothing differs from one store to another. So if you aren't finding clothing that is well suited to you, as well as becoming, see what merchandise other stores carry. In addition to physical retail locations, remember to consider specialty plus size Internet boutiques. With both of these options open to you, you've got a great chance to build a wardrobe where every piece both fits and flatters. You'll be amazed at how simple it is to find great outfits, both for formal occasions and casual daily outfits.

4 Ways to Boost Your Natural Beauty

4 Ways to Boost Your Natural Beauty by Janet Franchis

Day Dream a Bit
You need to picture your new look. What specific improvements do you want to make- a slimmer body, healthier hair, clearer and softer skin? Imagine yourself in a few months, after a little effort has paid off and you look and feel wonderful. All these changes are realistic and attainable, but remember you are unique- acceptance is the pinnacle point you need to reach before you start to make changes.

Realize the Ruling Realms of Reflection
Confident women have an attractive aura of authority when it comes to their look that shines from within. Confidence in your looks comes from complete acceptance- make the most of what you have. How do you know what you have? The most effective way to recognise your assets is through reflection. Learn to like yourself, every little bit, even the scary bits. Discover and enjoy experimenting in front of the mirror as a way of lightening stress and enhancing morale. Vanity is a positive virtue, no matter what we have been taught to believe. Women who have low self esteem tend to avoid mirrors, but, mirrors can become a big ally. They can tell you how you're progressing, in those little ways that may not be noticeable to the casual eye.

Balance Becomes Beauty
Little pleasures allow you to feel special, go on, you're worth it! Balance the hard work with these little pleasures, respect what your body tells you. If it tells you to relax then relax, if it tells you to release then find a way to release. Each of us has a voice inside our head that will give us advice. It guides us in the right direction. The difficulty is that we often don't listen to this important information. The reason for this? We don't make or take time out to listen to our body. Plan some quiet time everyday to sit back and listen. Indulge your body and show it the respect it deserves- you will be rewarded. Bringing equilibrium to your life is essential to attain both physical and mental balance and the same applies with your beauty. It shouldn't be a chore. Rather than running around looking for beauty in pricey high street products, discover natural alternatives, that are kinder to your natural balance and you bank balance.

Share and Share alike
What people say, whether intentional or not, can alter our perceptions of how we feel about our self. People are inclined to be drawn to those who make them feel good about who they are and how they look- the kind of friend who will help them and share words of wisdom and knowledge selflessly. Once you have reached a place of inner balance, or have an epiphany, share your confidence with your friends. The more people you support and the more self esteem you create within your friends, the stronger that network of friends becomes- remember knowledge is power, spread the knowledge, spread the power!

Cosmetics and Beauty Products - Good For You Too

Cosmetics and Beauty Products - Good For You Too by A. Covington

First it was healthy food; then came a push for sustainable living. Now even clothes are organic. It only makes sense that the products you put on your body are good for you too.

From shampoo to lipstick and perfume to face creams, you can now live an entirely all-natural existence (won't you sleep better at night?)

Fragrance that does a body good
LAVANILA has introduced what they claim is "the World's Premier Healthy Fragrance." The concept is novel: instead of loading fragrances with harsh synthetic ingredients that dry and damage skin, they use healthy ingredients that nurture and condition the body with each spray. In a time when everyone's concerned about global warming (er, global climate change), and toxic chemicals, this product launch couldn't be any timelier.
LAVANILA's sensual vanilla blends are meant to "captivate the senses" but they also nurture the skin with a healthy dose of pure essential oils, 100 percent natural botanicals, and super antioxidant technology-so it's good for you and the environment (Al Gore would be proud).

Plant those smackers
When you think of corn you might picture neighborhood barbeques and roudy children with corn on the cob dribble running down their chins. You probably never thought about wearing it on your lips. CARGO invites you to change how you think about corn, an abundant renewable resource. PlantLove™ Botanical Lipstick is made entirely out of environmentally friendly corn.
The manufacturing process emits less greenhouse gases, which many scientists believe to be the major cause of "global warming". The outer carton is made of flower paper embedded with real flower seeds, so all you have to do is moisten, plant, and wait for a bouquet of wild flowers to grow! Now that's using the "whole animal" if you know what I mean. Even if you don't buy into the global warming theory, you'll love the smooth and silky texture, which is infused with Orchid Complex™ and meadowfoam seed oil, jojoba and shea butter. Plus, CARGO is donating $2 from the sale of every shade to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Five of the PlantLove lipsticks were designed by your favorite celebrities:
-Evangeline: Evangeline Lily
-Lindsay: Lindsay Lohan
-Maria: Maria Menounos
-Mariska: Mariska Hargitay
-Sarah: Sarah Chalke
Somebody CARES
Stella McCartney is well known for her stance on the environment and cruelty-free products (oh yeah, her dad's famous too), and now she's come out with her own line of certified organic skincare. CARE by Stella McCartney is a luxury line skincare treatments formulated with 100 percent organic active ingredients and zero percent petrochemicals or silicones. Examples of products include her Purifying Foaming Cleanser that not only washes away makeup and impurities, it's designed to leave your skin looking fresh, soft, and radiant through the organic extracts hawthorn and horsetail. Her Toning Floral Water the antioxidant green tea and linden blossom extracts to tone and soothe-and help enhance the action of the 5 Benefits Moisturizers. The Nourishing Elixir blends natural oils, and a mix of soybean, nigella sativa, and musk rose rich in omega 3 and essential fatty acids to help firm and revitalize the skin.

Lancôme turns eco-chic
L'oreal owned cosmetics giant Lancome has announced its eco-chic initiatives for 2007-initiatives that promise to help combat the damage done by the environment to humans and help prevent damage to the environment by humans.
One of the most exciting initiatives is the launch in June 2007 of Primordiale Cell Defense, which focuses on neutralizing 99 percent of the damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure, pollution, and temperature extremes. An integral part of the eco-chic program is a strategic partnership with Carbonfund.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about climate change. In the second half of 2007, the four Lancôme boutiques located in New York's Upper West Side; Short Hills, NJ; Dallas, TX; and Santa Clara, CA, will go Carbonfree.

The new herbal experience
Everybody remembers those annoying-slightly uncomfortable Herbal Essence commercials where the actor who uses the product enjoys it a little too much. When you use these new shampoos by Vogue International, you may be tempted to express your delight. Fortunately you'll be in the privacy of your shower, so feel free to let out a squeal of delight. The shampoos, appropriately called Organix, feature simply delicious scents like Soft & Silky Vanilla, which combines smoothing Tahitian vanilla bean oils with silk amino proteins to strengthen and seal the hair's cuticles. Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-breaking Serum will keep fly-aways and split ends at bay, and make you smell good enough to eat (be warned, strangers may stand a little closer to you). All of the products in their five collections are sulfate free and contain active organic ingredients. See, you don't have to suffer in the name of saving the planet!

Making Up Your Eyes - Eye Make Up Tips That Actually Work

Making Up Your Eyes - Eye Make Up Tips That Actually Work By Franchis

Eye make up tips are provided on these pages to educate and entice you. There are countless tips that can be considered, but only the best are worth your time. Many of us realize that the eyes are the most essential part of the make up of the face. Take note of these eye make-up tricks for a quick glamour fix that you’ll just adore!· Arch your brows to begin. The key to a clean look for your eyes begins with a beautiful shapely brow! Avoid the “werewolf syndrome” by trimming and shaping your brows. I highly recommend having a professional stylist do the job. It’s always easier for an expert to tweeze or arch your brows than attempting the do-it-yourself tactic. Be sure to clearly explain your expectations. I always take in a picture to show how I want my brows to look.

Eyeliners. Eyeliners add further definition to the eye and put a more finished look to the effect desired with the application of the eye shadow. To apply the eyeliner, draw the line first on the lower lid, and then draw a line on the upper lid, starting from the inner corner and going towards the outer corner. The eyeliner should be applied closely to the lash line.

Mascara. In putting mascara on the eyelashes, a woman adds more life to her eyes and makes them seem brighter. The color of the mascara that you should choose, however, should complement the color of your skin.

Choose your shadows wisely. Eye color makes a difference when choosing shadow colors. Brown eyes look good with most colors, however, try adding some variety to your face by spicing it up with some color. Blue and green eyes should avoid the blue and green shadows. This will give you a pale and dull appearance. If you have blue or green eyes, smoky colors tend to bring out your eyes the best. A make-up trio is good to buy because part of the work is already done for you, color coordination. When you use a color trio, go from lighter to darker starting at the lid part of your eye.

Applying the Shadow. Most women just start applying shadow without the most important initial step, the base. Using foundation to base your eyes brings out the true color of the shadow and allows the shadow to stay on longer. After the base, apply the shadow with a long tipped brush. These are just better for application and blending. To top it off, add a little liner to the very top of your lids to make your eyes appear sexier, but be sure to smudge it. Helpful hint-after applying more than one color, blend them with a separate brush to create a more natural look.

Mascara is a Must- Choosing your mascara is tricky. Most women don’t put much thought or money into the type of mascara that they use. Well, if I were to invest in one expensive type of make-up, it would be the mascara. Why? Well, for one, cheap mascara can actually lead to breakage of the lashes! It’s true… cheap mascara, which leads to clumping, weighs down the lashes, which eventually leads to tearing lids out to remove the mascara. You can choose thickening mascara, lengthening, or conditioning (if you don’t need longer or thicker lashes) depending on what you need. The make-up market has a plethora of mascara products to choose from. I suggest avoiding colorful mascaras, as they tend to add too much to your look.

Pull your look together by color-coding. Basically, be sure to tie it all together by choosing the rest of your cosmetics to match your beautiful new eyes. If you are wearing smoky eyes, red lips look great! Shimmery shadows go great with nude or earth tone lips. Never mix shiny lips with shimmery, eyes unless you want to look like a character from High School Musical. With a more matte look, say, an Audrey Hepburn classic look, you can sport earth-tone lips or red lips. Just be sure that you aren’t over killing on one color.

Curl lashes An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blowdryer for a couple seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.

Apply mascara Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well.

Merry Makeup: How To Look Great This Holiday Season

Merry Makeup: How To Look Great This Holiday Season

The busy holiday season is full of parties and get-togethers where you will want to look your best. While your everyday makeup routine may get you from home to office or school and back again, you’ll want a little more excitement for your night time events. Make sure your makeup is a reflection of the season with these great tips.

Go Shimmery: Nothing says the holidays like a little shimmer. Complete your winter look by applying either a minimal amount of shimmer powder or by adding some shimmer to your lips or your eyelids. Adding a little shimmer will make your face look brighter and add a glow that fits the holiday season.

Be Bold: The holiday season is an excellent time to go bold when it comes to your makeup. Cat eyes or dark smokey eyes often add a mysterious glamour that fits well with the deep colors of the season. Likewise deep dark red lips sticks and glosses are a great way to bring the holiday cheer to your smile (and make your teeth look whiter).

Keep it Balanced: Dark eyes and deep gorgeous red lips are great but there needs to be a balance. As a rule of thumb never go with dark lips and eyes. Pairing the two will only leave you like your still wearing your Halloween costume. Counter dark makeup with nude glossy lips and dark lips with a simple eye shadow close to your natural skin tone.

Prime Your Face: Holiday parties can often happen right after work and last for quite a long time, make sure your makeup stays put by applying a primer to your face. A primer will ultimately make your skin look smoother by helping mask flaws and allowing your makeup to go easier and stay on longer.

Tinted Moisturizer: While your summer glow may be wearing off by this point, you don’t need to hit the tanning bed to keep that healthy tone to your skin. Ultimately, tanning is not safe way of keep your skin aglow and sunless tanners can often leave you looking streaky and orange. Keep your skin looking radiant with tinted moisturizers. While you may not achieve that right from the beach glow, your skin will look dewy and refreshed with a tab bit of color.

Silver and Gold: When choosing shimmery makeup, nail polish, and eye liners, consider looking for hues in silver and gold. Silver and gold are always popular during the holiday season and can give your look that extra festive appearance.

Manicure Your Nails: Even if you’re not one for pampering yourself, a manicure around the holidays is a must. Getting your nails primped and ready for parties and gathers that are so prevalent during the holidays can take a lot of effort. While self manicured nails will most likely chip and you’ll be forced to take care of them several times in one week, a manicure should a few weeks and take you right through to New Years.

It your water intake is about 5-6glasses of water then increase it upto 10-12 glasses of water. Sunglasses protect your eyes but do not stop the sun from tanning the rest of your face, resulting in eyes with paler skin around it than the rest of the face. To avoid this, generously rub sunscreen with SPF 30 with a broad spectrum over your entire face. Use gel on your hair and use only the fresh razor with triple blades to shave bikini line to avoid any unsightly rashes.

People have been misled into thinking “natural” indicates good and safe and that preservatives are always bad. In fact, there are many “natural” poisons and preservatives in cosmetics that actually make them safer to use. That doesn’t mean someone with sensitive skin might not have a bad reaction to the preservatives in a cosmetic. But generally preservatives kill or at least inhibit the bacteria, mold, viruses, and other nasty things that might otherwise thrive in our cosmetics. Commercial preparations usually contain some preservative to make these products safe for use. You can also find very high-end cosmetic formulations that are packed in sterile capsules to do away with, or at least minimize, the need for preservatives.

Cleanliness is important because dust particles get stuck in the pores of the skin. Use eyeliner pencil of slate gray, warm chocolate or navy shades with a light hand. Use gel on your hair and use only the fresh razor with triple blades to shave bikini line to avoid any unsightly rashes. Warm blond and naturally medium brown hair with highlights may acquire coppery shades in sun due to oxidation.Hair color gloss can help you to achieve the shine again. Warm, sunny, bright blush can be used. Wear only natural nude shades as lip colors while going out to the beach. Moisturizer is key to keeping skin from losing its suppleness -- even if it is hot and humid. Light shade of bronzer on cheekbones and chin gives you a beautiful suntan.

Beauty Tips - Face Lifting

Beauty Tips - Face Lifting by Franchis

Face lift, technically known as rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure intended to remove excess fat, tighten underlying muscles and redrape the skin of your face and neck.

It can also be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. Although a face lift can't stop the ageing process, it can help 'turn back the clock'. SMAS rhytidectomy begins with the creation of a cheek skin flap. The SMAS is handled in a number of ways. This technique tends to be a very safe approach to face-lifting as the SMAS and sub-SMAS structures are left intact. Baker popularized the lateral SMASectomy approach. Baker's technique is also very safe as the facial nerve is protected by the parotid gland in the area of SMAS resection.

As face-lift approaches multiplied and became more complex, patient desires changed. Younger patients began to seek cosmetic surgery and trends toward less invasive approaches to facial rejuvenation developed. Patients wanted less downtime from their procedure. Additionally, despite increased tissue rearrangement with more complex surgery, a clear and compelling benefit of one type of face-lift over another failed to materialize. While controversial, the few studies that directly compared the various techniques failed to show a significant difference in outcome. Younger patients began to seek cosmetic surgery and trends toward less invasive approaches to facial rejuvenation developed. A number of face-lift alternatives and adjuvant procedures have been recently popularized. Cosmetic medicine disposes of a technique to treat problematic areas without these disadvantages. This method represents an achievable and efficient solution for an increasing number of people who want to obtain a natural result without surgical operation or general anaesthesia.

A number of face-lift alternatives and adjuvant procedures have been recently popularized. For the patient with primarily soft tissue ptosis and little skin redundancy, the use of percutaneously placed suspension sutures is an option. This approach has been proposed for elevation of the brow, midface, and jowl regions. The advantages of these procedures are the use of local anesthesia and minimal scarring, downtime and expense when compared with traditional surgical rhytidectomy. As no skin excision occurs, these techniques will not remove redundant skin and may be best suited for younger patients. Most surgeons using suspension techniques utilize a variety of nonabsorbable sutures.

Conclusion

While the myriad of options for face-lifting may seem confusing to physicians and patients at first glance, there are advantages and disadvantages to each. With more options available, we can cater our treatments for each patient. With proper education and a firm preoperative assessment of goals, the surgeon and patient can select the approach that optimizes their probability of a successful outcome. Clearly there is no one solution to all forms of facial aging.

Eye shadow adds depth and dimension to one's eyes, compliments the eye color, or simply draw attention to the eyes. Eye shadow comes in many different colors, and is usually made from a powder. Eye shadow is perhaps the most beloved cosmetic of creative makeup artists.

The most important trick to keep in mind is that the light colors highlight the spots while dark colors tame them down. Apply the medium shade on the lower lid and blend it into your base shade. Apply the medium shade on the lower lid and blend it into your base shade.

Eyeshadow apply Tips

1. Before using eye-shadow, use a little powder on the eyelid as a base.

2. Never share the eye makeup tools.

3. For day makeup, base color and mascara are the only things you need to wear for eyes.

4. Apply the darkest shade to the outer corners of the eyes from lash line to the crease.

5. Use brushes to apply eye shadow. Try to avoid those nasty foam applicators that come with it.

6. Blondes with blue eyes should opt for browns and taupes while those with green eyes can go for soft mauves and lilacs.

7. To make them look wider apart, keep the inside corners of the eyes lighter than the outer edges. Apply concealer one shade lighter than your skin at the inner corner of the lids and the sides of your nose and blend it well. Use a matte medium to dark eyeshadow and stroke it outward and slightly upward from middle of the lid to its outer half. Use the eyeliner a bit in from the inner corner of the eye and make the line tapering up and out a bit past the outer corner of the eyes.

Six Simple Tips To Gorgeous, Silky Hair

Six Simple Tips To Gorgeous, Silky Hair
By: Cole Carson

Nothing looks more beautiful than a head of full, sleek, and shiny hair. All women want their hair to fall like liquid silk, and while the “results” seen in hair-care commercials may be a bit too perfect to be real, there are numerous things you can do to improve the health and beauty of the hair you have. Here we’ll talk about six things you can do to keep your hair looking and feeling its best.

1. First, we have to help you avoid actually damaging it. The first thing you need to avoid is using a brush on it while it is still wet. When it’s wet, it isn’t as strong as when it is dry, and a brush is too rough for it to handle, and will only cause damage that will show up later. When detangling your wet hair, stick with a nice, wide-tooth comb – this is much easier on your hair. Also use a good leave-in conditioner, to help make it a little more durable.

2. Everyone knows that using a blow dryer on your hair is a great way to damage it. Unfortunately though, the ease and convenience it brings not only time-wise, but for styling makes it a necessity to have. To minimize the damage it does though, use the “cool” setting, and make sure not to dry your hair completely. Leave a little bit of moisture in your lovely locks.

3. Keeping your hair shiny is key to keeping it looking healthy and beautiful. There are a lot of things that dull your hair throughout the week, like product build up and environmental stress, making your hair much duller than it naturally is. Once every week, using an apple cider vinegar rinse will help to strip your hair of the grime and build up and keep it looking shiny. Use about one or two tablespoons diluted in about four cups of water. This is a great, gentle, and natural way to help keep build up from dulling your hair. And as a side note, your hair won’t smell like vinegar once dry.

4. Contrary to what a lot of products say, there is no way to seal or fix split ends. If you notice any split ends on your hair, go in and get them trimmed off. Keeping split ends can result in the split gradually moving up the hair shaft, making your hair look and feel very damaged. Even if you’re growing your hair out, it’s a good idea to go in and get your ends trimmed every so often to keep it looking its best.

5. Moisturizing is a good way to keep your hair healthy and vibrant, and fortunately, it’s a very simple, enjoyable process. Homemade moisturizing masks do a very good job, and they can be made from ingredients that can be found in your very own kitchen. They can be a lot of fun to make and apply, so go do a search some recipes, and select the one that’s perfect for your hair needs.

6. Hair care is not just on the outside. The healthier you are, the healthier your hair tends to be as well, and fortunately there are some great vitamins you can add to your diet that will enhance the quality and health of your hair. Vitamins A and C have antioxidants that are very beneficial to the health of your hair, and vitamin E helps to enhance circulation around your scalp. Vitamin B6 can help to prevent hair loss and to create melanin, which will aid in keeping your hair color richer and more vibrant. Add these to your diet, and you’re sure to have some beautiful hair.

Keeping your hair healthy is key to enhancing its beauty and feel. No matter what hair color, length, or type, your hair will always look better when it’s well taken care of. Fortunately, there are a lot of little things we can do to help take better care of our hair and keep it looking shiny and beautiful. It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort, but by following these steps your beautiful hair is sure to boost your confidence and get plenty of compliments!

Know More On Your Skin Types

Know More On Your Skin Types By: Sander Bel

Dry Skin Types - Dry skin is caused by under or inactive oil glands that do not produce enough sebum to keep the skin naturally lubricated. It usually has a dull appearance, feels dry and itchy and is sometimes sensitive. Dry skin must be hydrated regularly from the inside (with fresh water) and outside with (mists), as well as moisturized with rich hydrating creams or lotions.

Oily Skin Types - Oily skin is caused by glands that produce too much sebum, resulting in skin that has a greasy slippery texture, appears shiny and is frequently has large, clogged pores.

Sensitive Skin Types - Sensitive skin can be dry, normal, or oily and is characterized by delicacy which is why we feel it is more of a skin condition than a skin type. It frequently reacts adversely to environmental conditions and often requires special treatment in order to remain in good condition.

Combination skin - This type of skin is very common. As the name suggests, it is a combination of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily and the rest dry. Usually there is a Central greasy panel consisting of the forehead, nose and chin and a dry panel consisting of cheeks and the areas around the eyes and mouth.

Normal Skin - It has a fine even texture with a supple and smooth surface. It has a proper balance between oil and moisture contents and is therefore moist and neither greasy nor dry.

Aphonia Causes Symptoms Information With Treatment

Aphonia Causes Symptoms Information With Treatment By: Juliet Cohen

Some voice disorders are idiopathic and may occur due to stress. Vocal abuse (e.g., smoking, drinking excessive caffeine or alcohol, excessive exposure to fumes/toxins, etc.) is another potential cause of aphonia. Fear also is often a concomitant and a contributor. Therapy should first be aimed at correcting those conditions which might produce a disturbance in the centers of coordination between the three nervous systems. Then the overtaxed nerve forces of the body as a whole should be relieved, the incoordination which has been a factor in the disease process should be eliminated, and the forces of the body should be coordinated. General therapy should first be aimed at a cleansing of the system with special reference to the hepatic circulation. Osteopathic manipulations and neuropathic manipulations are both recommended, but in differing degrees. Hypersensitive nervous systems must be handled cautiously and gently. Hypnosis was mentioned but was to be used. Surgery and therapy or either one of these may be recommended. The diet should be corrected and sufficient stimulus of a medicinal nature should be added to keep the body in a normal force. Some cases that are psychological - where the body is amenable to suggestion - would benefit by suggestive therapy.

At the outset, let me caution you that I don't guarantee that all of them will wok for everyone who tries them. You need to design a beauty regimen for yourself. To do so start by drilling down to discover your skin type, body weight, emphasis areas etc. Once you are clear about these, state what you wish to change about your present looks. You need to be reasonable about your wants without resigning entirely to what you presently have. Next, design a diet that suits your body. Yes, eating a proper healthy diet is the best among all beauty tips.

Reading an independent skin care product review is essential before buying any products. Use products from reputed brands and don't experiment too much with your body.
A beauty tip that few people ever heed is going to the gym. Your body needs regular exercise. If time restrictions allow, exercise in the gym three or four times a week. If its not possible, do jogging or skipping for a few minutes at home should work just the same. Sweating promotes healthy and glowing skn as it flushes out toxins from our body!

Regularly visiting a nearby spa is one of the best beauty tips. You must ensure that you use good quality spa products only. A sauna bath doesn't only relax your senses; it also relaxes your skin and allows the tiny pores in the skin to breathe.

Making Up Your Eyes To Glamorize Your Look

Making Up Your Eyes To Glamorize Your Look

Have you ever taken notice of a lady’s make-up that just seems to radiate that “glow”, and make her stunning, but you can’t seem to pinpoint what makes her look so glamorous? Well, I’ll tell you, it’s all in the eyes! The phrase, the eyes have it, has been proven many times before. The make-up artists of celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Tyra Banks, and Jennifer Love Hewitt seem to have that magic touch that gives the illusion of dreamy and exotic eyes. Ladies, it’s all in the make-up and care for your eyes. And there is a way that you too, can achieve the same look as these head turning gorgeous women in the spotlight. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the stars don’t wake up looking like smoky eyed glamour girls. There is a process to achieving these stunning looks. Take note of these eye make-up tricks for a quick glamour fix that you’ll just adore!

Arch your brows to begin.

Choose and use a good eyeliner. Even if you aren’t trying to achieve that “smoky look”, your eye make-up will not be complete without a little liner. Remember, though, less is more. Avoid the Elvira look by not overdoing it with your liner. You can easily go from glamorous to vampirish if you’re not careful. A kohl liner is best for the glamorous look. Helpful hint-After applying your liner, smudge it with the tool located on top of the pencil create a more natural look. A drawn line creates a false look..

Condition your eyes at night. Just as we care for our hair and skin, we must do the same for our peepers! Cucumber peels are great to take away puffiness. Puff reducing creams are out there for you to choose from. Sleep in a satin eye mask or use the gel-based mask before you retire to sleep. Always remove all eyewear to allow your eyes to breathe. Lastly, get your 8-10 hours of sleep, and your eyes will thank you for it by waking up and looking well rested and beautiful.

Following these eye beauty tips will add another dimension to highlighting the windows of your soul. Try these tips, bat your eyes, and be beautiful!
